Healthy employees positively affect the bottom line.  Common sense tells us that reliance on prepackaged convenience foods that are high in sodium, fat, and sugar, and low in nutrients underlie obesity and chronic disease. For many Americans today, a lack of physical activity combined with eating on the go and poor food preparation skills is taking a toll on their health.

Studies reflect that healthy people are happier, have less absenteeism, and a better outlook at home and work. Companies that educate employees on steps they can take to improve their health show them that they are valued. Simply put, an ounce of prevention can improve retention.

BNA offers “Lunch and Learn” seminars on health-related topics during the lunch hour or after hours held on your premises.  Employees may bring their own lunch or enjoy a company-provided lunch at your discretion.  All sessions focus on making better food choices, disease avoidance, and nutrition basics.  Some sessions may include a food preparation demo, samples, and recipes.  Each session is 1 hour in length and can be selected singularly or in series.

Nutritional presentations provide science-based information dispelling myths surrounding current food fads.  Topics on healthy fats, food allergies, and disease avoidance are among those in the news today. Following are highlights of seminars that touch on these topics:
